Name of 1980s or 90s Chinese Kung Fu TV drama series?

I don't remember much about it, but the story follows one boy who grows up and learns kung fu. He starts from no skill at all to becoming the #1 master at the end. He learns a bit from each of 4 original kung fu masters who are equal in skill (they seem to always compete with each other but none ever wins).. one is a drunk who is skilled of course when he drinks, one is the bad guy in the movie who wants to kill everyone and be #1, one is a rich guy who has a beautiful daughter that the main character of the series falls in love with, and i THINK the last is the monkey (but i might have my movies mixed up).





It's a drama, but also a comedy..

ex: Drunken Fist, Wing Chun, Northern Shaolin, Hung Gar, Ba Gua etc:|||Kung Fu means achieving through hard work.



"Drunken Fist, Wing Chun, Northern Shaolin, Hung Gar, Ba Gua etc" are styles of Chinese Boxing.



There are no best styles of Chinese or any other Martial Arts.



What is important is that the teacher has a complete understanding of the art.

Shou Shu is NOT Chinese Martial Arts. It is a form of Elcectic Kenpo from Villari or one of those guys.|||As Daoshi has pointed out, Kung Fu does not exclusively mean martial arts, but actually refers to a special skill acquired due to long years of hard work and dedicated training. By that standard, I consider this Kung Fu in the video below as one of the best if not the best Kung Fu ; P

Depending on where you are the schools are generally pretty good. Most have a free training class so you can check out for yourself.. Good Luck ...Your gonna have a blast

I am thinking about starting kung fu classes and am aware that with his kung fu he also went to a chinese drama school - I am interested more so in chinese kung fu than any other kung fu.|||All Kung Fu came from China. He has done several different types over his lifetime, but the bulk of what he knows is due to the Drama school that he went to. It is way more general than regular Kung Fu. This is because in the School, they often portrayed different styles for different plays. In fact, most of the modern well known choreographers (with names Yuen) are from the same school.





Your best bet in the USA is just to find a good quality Kung Fu school and get busy.|||Kung Fu is chinese and only chinese...learn to use google...|||i dont remember what styles he has trained.. but kung fu comes from china and there are many different styles of kung fu. kung fu is a general name of chinese martial arts.





so you shoud check your nearest kung fu school and see what they have to offer.|||Isn't it wushu?|||He started chinese opera/drama when he was young. these involves a lot of hard acrobatic trainings. that is why most of his movies has a lot of acrobatic moves. He later became a stunt man, and he is very good at imitating different styles. Can he really fight at a martial artist level? I don't think so. He has not done any formal training in fighting. Good actor, and a very good acrobat but that is about it.|||He didn't learn traditional Kung Fu, he learned stunt kung fu from a film school|||I remember seeing an interview with him and he said one of the styles he studied was Pak Mei (aka Bak Mei).|||He does drunken style, hence his great centre of balance
