i was wounding if u have to be full chinese to learn kung fu and also the difference in karate and kung fu i will read those by today please have a good answer|||No you don't have to be Chinese, you do have to be disciplined, focused and hardworking to learn any Martial Art. That and a reputable school with a proper Sifu or Sensei is all you need.

The main problem in all Martial Arts is finding a proper school or teacher.

The best way to decide between Kung Fu and Karate is too go along and see which you prefer.

Sifu Wayne Husbands is definately not Chinese.

Karate and Kung Fu are very different, but they are not directly comparable as there are many styles of Karate and hundreds of Kung Fu. Kung Fu usually uses forms to strengthen the body and mind, and conditioning techniques such as iron palm and shirt. I don't know a lot about Karate but it's a little bit more... simple and direct? To learn Kung Fu properly you need a legitimate teacher and you need to be dedicated. I would suggest going around the different clubs to take a look.|||Ah grasshopper, no you do not have to be Chinese to learn the way of the swaying hands, was David Carradine Chinese No, no. Karate the way of the empty fist or something like that had its origin in Japan Okinawa I believe, it combines some Chinese martial arts in its form.

There are many forms, techniques involved in both arts, some involve striking, defending, hard %26amp; soft attacks, discipline, both are effective if used properly. have seen Karate vs Kung Fu championships %26amp; depending on the expertise of the fighters, there have been losses %26amp; wins on both sides

Hope this helps.|||If you were around about fifty years ago...then I would say yes! Now days you do not need to be Chinese. The difference between Karate and Kung Fu is complex.....Karate as a whole is a straight/direct or hard style and Kung Fu on the other hand is known as a circular or fluid style. However, their are many different styles of both and some are hard and some are soft styles within each of them. SuaKaow|||A Shaolin monk opened a Shaolin Temple in Africa. So no u dont have to be Chinese or any particular race to learn Kung Fu or any other MA. All u need is to find a good instructor to learn from.|||As Chinese as a wart-hog up a bamboo shoot.|||NO|||sorry thats a really dumb question next please!|||just make sure u wear a jock strap
