What is(are) the most effective style(s) of Chinese Kung Fu?

The most effective style I've found in dozens of real-life fights is Wing Chun, it's gotten me out of some nasty situations against one, two and even three opponents, some of whom were armed. WC is easy to learn, practical and very economical with its tight moves, short range punches and low line kicks. Nothing is telegraphed. I was using this system one week after walking into the kwoon and I do door work so I'm no stranger to fighting that works, there's no margin for error.

I've also used WC against other martial arts guys most notably karate, whom I found too stiff and too slow plus they leave their chins unguarded (fatal against a pro).

Find a good WC sifu, you'll never regret it.|||Every style of kung fu is effective aslong as you focus on using it for fighting however it depends on how you use it. If you want to use it in MMA then the most effective for cagefighting is Sanda/Sanshou it is chinese kickboxing with stand up grapples all from kung fu. If you want other close contact kunf fu there's BajiQuan which is chinese muslim it has effective body strikes and Choy Lay Fut. There is also Wing Chun which is effective for trapping your opponent and using speed hand strikes in full contact. Probrably the most effective kung fu for ending the fight as quick as possible would be San Soo it is much like Krav Maga it is probrably the dirtiest kung fu as it is all about ending the fight in any way possible from eye gouges to groin shots. It can be used for smaller people against biggers.

Really if you picked any kung fu it would be effective as long as you train it for fighting but for beginners of kung fu that want to learn go for sanda/sanshou or san soo for self defense/dirty fighting. Wing Chun also for self defense but again it depends how hard you train it doesn't have to be the styles I mentioned.|||Well, that's almost impossible to answer since there's so many forms of it. All of it would be the most effective. If you know a whole bunch of martial arts, chances are you'll have more than just an effective style. Learn as many martial arts as you can, and you'll be more skilled them them. :)|||There are a whole bunch of different styles of Kung Fu. I take northern kung fu, which i really like a lot, we work a lot on the eagle claws. we also work a lot on stances and core muscles. there are many other though. I know a lot of people who take wushu who love it|||MAs are only as effective as the individual martial artist and the quality of training they recieve. All the answers u get will only be peoples opinions.|||There are well over 300 styles of kung fu.

Its not the style that is effective or ineffective it is the person|||I love Mantis-Longfist Kung fu

Formed in China, combined the two to form a complete system|||overall, I think five animals
