What style of kung fu or chinese martial arts would be most effective in a real fight?

wing chun (any other branch than leung ting)

xingyiquan

northern eagle claw

jun fan gung fu

choy lee fut

san soo|||From what I was taught every style thinks of their own as the best! Comparing martial arts is not so different than comparing the Eagle to the Tiger. The eagle soars through the air, his swift dives and powerful talons snatch his prey without them even knowing, he thinks none is as powerful as him. The tiger uses stealth glide through the forest, his cunning and strength is of no match for any other animal. The tiger thinks none is more powerful than he. Comparing martial arts and asking which is better is not unlike comparing the Eagle to the Tiger.|||Jeet Kune Do, founded by Bruce Lee - Kung Fu legend and practitioner of many martial arts - one of the theories of JKD is that a fighter should do whatever is necessary to defend himself, regardless of where the techniques come from. One of Lee's goals in Jeet Kune Do was to break down what he claimed were limiting factors in traditional martial arts training, and seek a fighting thesis which he believed could only be found within the reality of a fight. Jeet Kune Do is currently seen as the genesis of the modern state of hybrid martial arts.

If you wish to know about other martial arts which are non chinese and are very effective for street fighting, look into the original jujitsu and Kajukenbo (another hybrid art which is devastating for street self defense)|||I recommend the Kung Pao chicken, but the Moo Shu Pork ain't bad either.

Just kidding.

In a real fight, start with boxing. Try a few hard jabs right between the eyes. Then judo/wrestle the SOB to the ground, get on top and pound the living s%26amp;!t out of the guy. End it

with a headlock and/or chokehold. Forget the fancy crap.

It ain't going to work unless the guy is dancing the same dance as you.|||Shaolin
