Why do many Chinese kung fu practicers in many old Chinese movies walk with one hand behind their back?

Many older characters seem to do it when walking around contemplating something|||Hello. Great Question.

It is a reference to the practice of Zen Buddhism, as a common meditation posture is with legs folded and one hand held up as if in prayer, and the other hand in the lap or touching the ground. To walk with one hand behind the back is a sign of "Buddhist" contemplation.

Does this make sense? You can watch classic Kung Fu Movies for free, in their entirety, no registration or downloads required at: http://watchkungfu.com -

Cheers!|||It's respect, if it's not behind there back, then where would it be?
